Cosmino Panteo: Digital assistance for error-free processes and reliable data capture

The user guidance of the Cosmino data entry dialogues significantly simplifies human interaction with PDA, MDA, MES or SPC.

We’ve been working with manufacturing data for over 35 years and know that manual data capture remains indispensable despite increasing automation. Humans remain a relevant factor in many processes to reliably fulfill quality assurance, operational data capture, and documentation requirements on the shop floor.

Since people have different experiences and disciplines for manual tasks, Cosmino Panteo supports them with a digital assistance that simplifies data entry, reduces errors, saves time, and increases productivity.

Cosmino Panteo improves your data quality and reduces rebookings

Missing or incomplete data leads to time-consuming corrections and inaccurate evaluations.

In the Cosmino online dialogs, the Task Queue Manager provides user guidance for data entry operators and workers based on the customer-specific specifications for each task.
The task queue, which can be seen directly in the entry dialog, is a sequence of entry tasks with a time or situation when they are to be carried out. As soon as the due date is reached, the task starts automatically and guides you step by step through the necessary entries. A task shows all the information for the respective activity, which saves time and minimizes sources of error.

How does the task get into the task queue?

Many acquisition tasks are triggered by process-related and external triggers, e.g.:

  • Detecting a downtime when the machine is no longer producing,
  • Quantity and error recording at a defined time (immediately, hourly, at the end of the shift, etc.),
  • Inspections according to specifications and times in the inspection plan,
  • Maintenance activities at set intervals
  • any activities where the necessity and due date can be determined based on time or situation in the process.

  • Other tasks are triggered manually

  • Each activity can in turn be a trigger for further tasks. For example, a planned order change automatically triggers certain entries or checks that must then be carried out before or after the order change. Examples would be recording the consumption of raw and auxiliary materials at the end of the old order or reading product-relevant documents or an initial sample inspection at the start of the new order.

  • Other triggers are also possible in order to initiate a specific activity on the entry dialog. For example, a certain limit value for any recorded process date could trigger inspections, maintenance or necessary escalations. It is not only the teams on the store floor that are involved in the entry dialogs. All relevant recipients can be reached via factory and management views and, of course, messages sent (e-mail, SMS, etc.) – regardless of where in the world they have access to your network.

How does the task queue prioritize?

A customer-specific setting determines whether a task that is already in progress must be completed first or is paused by a more important task.

  • For example, a manually triggered user login could take place immediately, as the new person would otherwise be prevented from making entries.
  • A planned order change should instead be placed after the tasks of the old order that are still required. Product checks that are not due usually lose their necessity due to the order change and are deleted from the task queue. However, checks that are already due remain in order before the order change.

Cosmino Panteo data entry dialogs map your individual process requirements reliably and flexibly

The task queue shows the order of the pending tasks including the due date so that the person entering the data do not have to decide on the order themselves.

  • Acquisition activities that are already required are usually started automatically based on the sequence.
  • Whether the persons entering the data are allowed to start earlier, move or even delete certain tasks can be defined for each task type.
  • Cosmino Panteo has a user and authorization concept. While the data entry users strictly follow the predefined processes, other authorization roles may have additional options.

Cosmino Panteo prevents expensive breakdowns and poor quality

Cosmino Panteo ensures that processes and accompanying tests are carried out at the right time and in accordance with regulations. This prevents failures, ensures product quality and extends the service life of systems.
Reliable acquisition creates transparency and enables a real-time response to unforeseen events. The acquired data can also be used to optimize processes, reduce waste and cut costs in the long term.

Use the Cosmino Panteo data entry dialog as your tool to efficiently control production processes, ensure data acquisition and provide the necessary information on the store floor exactly when it is needed.
