The distribution of information is an important task of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The MES solution provided by software developer COSMINO AG offers a custom information distribution setup. Production employees and management benefit equally.
Persons responsible and controllers receive current indicators and analyses. Order and machine status as well as target/actual comparisons are provided at the shop floor level. Persons responsible are reliably informed by Cosmino MES Plus, when a maintenance process or test interval (e.g., SPC) is due. The software automatically provides test instructions, as well as check lists for tool and order changes. Cosmino MES Plus can also generate a warning for process and energy parameters, if a defined action limit is violated.
As new feature in the current version, individual events can be monitored by predefined users. For example, a message can be triggered for systems states, such as setup, repair, or waiting times, if a maximum duration is exceeded. A person responsible can also be informed if a defined scrap or rework volume is exceeded within a period. Warnings can be defined exactly and individually for every workstation. The persons to be informed in the case of an event can be individually defined.
Using a browser dialog, the informed person responsible can retrieve further information regarding the concerned workstation and state. For example, a maintenance employee can obtain a first impression of a problem upfront to coordinate his reaction.
