Improvement of Cycles

As of now, it is possible to record more than one cycle in Cosmino. As in every OEE calculating software, the technical cycle is saved. It should reflect the optimal and shortest possible cycle time and is used as calculation basis. Cosmino gives you the chance to record additional cycles to machine – product – combinations. This will help you to assess your production. The different cycle definitions are used to calculate machine key figures such as the OEE. They are saved for a specific validity period. See two examples below: Baseline: Record the initial cycle before you start improvements. Every optimization of your process which leads to a shorter cycle time will raise your OEE. But then the cycle must be adjusted in the base data. With that the products can be re-calculated and sold at a lower price. The adjustment of the cycle time leads to a lower OEE again. The total improvement is no longer discernible. However, in recording the initial cycle (baseline) as a measures basis you always have the sight of the total development.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Key figure calculation on the basis of several cycles
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Benchmark: Define an ideal cycle as a basis for comparison. A predefined goal or a calculated maximum speed of a machine can be the basis for an ideal cycle. If you save this as the benchmark cycle you can compare it to your recent cycle at all times. Improvement potential will always remain visible.
